With Taylor’s Wave opening in about 90 days, the WBA is preparing for the increased commerce in Woodfin. We ask all Woodfin business owners to join WBA’s effort to maximize the benefits for our town’s businesses. Here are some of WBA’s benefits for members. And a few things you can do to improve your revenue.
The Woodfin business directory now ranks high in Web searches
Our initial efforts already place WBA high in Web searches for Woodfin businesses. This is true for both Google and Edge. Our visibility will continue to increase and broaden to north Asheville, Weaverville and surrounding towns as more members join us.

Free website for your business
One member has offered to design a simple website for your business if you need one. Your business’ public presence will grow by linking your website to the WBA business directory.
WBA Facebook Engagement with Members
Currently, WBA reposts members’ posts on a rotating schedule and engages with our members’ posts regularly to help with visibility. If you have a particular post you’d like us to feature, please share that post with our Facebook page. We also ask that you support WBA and our members’ posts with simple likes or comments. Soon, our Facebook will change from “This is Woodfin” to “Yes Woodfin”. So, watch for that change.
Your promotional materials displayed at popular Woodfin events
WBA will talk up your business, as well as display and hand out promotional materials at Woodfin’s popular events like the annual Read, Write and Run 5K race, and Community Day Out. These events are attended by hundreds of locals.
The next event where you can display promotional material is the Woodfin police’s Community Day Out on Saturday August 8, 9 am to 1 pm. Please email president@woodfinbusinessassociation or leave a message at John Kerr’s cell number 828-200-6504 to arrange picking up your promotional materials no later than Friday, July 31.

Taylor’s Wave signage and concierge
WBA is aligning with Taylor’s Wave and the Woodfin government to post signage that will direct visitors to your business. The signs will include a QR code to WBA’s business directory.
WBA is also looking into other promotional ideas like a concierge near Taylor’s Wave to direct visitors to your business.
Other ideas in their early stages
We are in the initial stages of a couple of projects. We’ve begun work on rack cards featuring a map to Woodfin’s business zones and the QR code to the WBA business directory. The rack cards will be on display in all participating Woodfin businesses.
We’re also exploring the idea of a Woodfin “welcome wagon” bag filled with promotional materials for your business. Stay tuned.
What you can do now to promote your business:
Send us your photos to post on WBA’s Google business site
Please send us your favorite photos of business and happenings to president@woodfinbusinessassociation.com and @woodfinbusinessassociation.com. This will raise WBA in the search function along with your business too.
Improve your business’s search function results
You can improve the search function for your business by placing the WBA badge on your website and then linking the badge to the URL of your business post in the Woodfin business directory.
We’ve included three different formats of the badge at the bottom of this article so you can select the best one for your website.

Businesses in Woodfin membership costs $225 per year or about $19 per month. This places you on a business directory that thousands of tourists and locals will see. And linking your business to the WBA will improve your search function standing.
